Dr. Joseph J. Bozell, an associate professor in biomass chemistry in the UT Institute of Agriculture Forest Products Center, will work collaboratively with Purdue University scientists on biomass-to-biofuels conversion.
The group won a five-year, $20 million grant from the Department of Energy as part of $777 million the department is investing in 46 Energy Frontier Research Centers. Bozell will receive $210,000 annually and will work on developing hybrid catalysts and catalytic conversion of renewable materials.
