Three trustee committees met last week in Nashville. The Finance and Administration and the Executive and Compensation committees met on Tuesday, and the Audit Committee met on Thursday.
On Tuesday, I provided updates on higher education governance, budget planning, System administration reorganization, competition for federal stimulus funding, articulation agreements between UT and the Board of Regents, program consolidations and discontinuance, freshmen enrollment for the fall, the UT Medical Group study and a proposal to sell the president's house in Knoxville.

For further discussion on the possible sale of the president's house at the annual June meeting, we will prepare information about:
Also, we are in the process of updating the Board of Trustees Web site with several pieces of information requested by members at the meetings. You will receive an e-mail notifying you when the updates are ready for viewing.
The Audit Committee reviewed the state audit report and financial statement audits of all UT athletics departments, the UT Research Foundation and the UT Medical Group. The committee also discussed a consultant's report on UTMG, the University's institutional compliance program and the annual report by UT Internal Audit.
