Chief Information Officer Scott Studham has begun the task of reorganizing information technology across the System.
Scott presented his plan to the board during the Research, Outreach and Economic Development Committee meeting in June. The first phase of the reorganization is underway and changes the structure of OIT from a line organization to a customer-focused organization.
The leadership group has been reshaped to include the CIO, a chief technology officer, four service level managers or associate CIOs, four executive directors and the business office director. This reduces the number of line managers and increases customer representatives.
We believe the new OIT structure will result in better customer service and value for the University.
The next steps include defining standard processes and technologies and eliminating duplicative costs.
